A typical Sharon Green Heroine, Aelena is a loner, outcast with amazing abilities and training. She is the only female trained Shadowborn. Yet she leaves her people and her trainers, feeling that she doesn't fit anywhere. The book opens with her trapped as a slave, escaping, joining with a group of Princes leading an army who are on a quest determined by their God. She begins to find acceptance in the group and a lover. Insecurites, misunderstandings, godly manueverings, and misdirections abound. Aelena changes from slave to fighter, to leader as her true self is revealed. Excellent plot, not as angry at men as some other Green novels. Ends with a big resolve but leaves enough hanging for a sequel. Please write more. Thanks!Product details

The story was ok. But there is no ending to the story and since it was written in 2003, its unlikely to every be finished
I love this book and wish that the story was continued. To take it to a more of a finished ending.
