Okay, so the writing isn't bad, the plot is pretty thin but it has potential. But I'm convinced that this isn't the first book in this series! You're thrown straight into an ongoing plot line, with a HUGE character gallery. No attempt is made to introduce the different characters so I can only assume that this is done in previous books. This is not a stand-alone story, half the stuff that happens makes no sense cause references are made to a back-story I don't know anything about, because this is SUPPOSED to be book ONE!So, conclusion? Worth reading, but only if you manage to locate the previous books first. If this really IS the first book, then I can't recommend it.

I don't even know where to start. There's so many things going through my mind, I just feel....wow. Each story in the Eternal Flames series has been building this amazing world. And now we get a new series!! Just when you think you've learned everything, here comes a new surprise and you go Oh My!
I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone but oh my, secrets and lies are exposed in this one! And of course we get our wonderful loving and sexy scenes too!! Can't get enough Dragons, Phoenix and Pixies!! So glad I found these and if you haven't read any you need to start!
What is a mating that's not a truely complete mating? That is the question that Ethan and Day will have to answer before it is lost to them. Join in the adventure of danger and love, all the while learning the lesson that no matter the relationship, honest communication is key to it's life or death. I couldn't get enough of this story. A must read and reread.
I loved this book. In this book we go back to the couple that started it all Ethan and Daytona. Happily mated Ethan and Day are deeply in love. When more danger comes there way they don't back down. When Rhys is attacked and nearly killed Twix is the only one who believes his story. Twix asks Ethan and Day to help Rhys and keep the little pixie safe. When they meet Rhys they both feel attacked to the little pixie but they don't understand why. They are completely devoted to each other. So why does this little pixie call to them. When they learn the identity of his stalker all bets are off. They will protect Rhys with there lives. When they finally figure out they both are feeling the same way about Rhys it only takes one kiss to prove their theory.
Finally, the menage scenes didn't feel awkward!
I found it a bit odd that Ethan and Day ended up being mated to Rhys, just because their mating was so settled and complete that it took me a bit to get used to them adding a third. But I loved Rhys and thought that he fit perfectly into the relationship as an equal.
This book showed, once again, that it's both damaging and dangerous for all of the paranormals to keep secrets from each other. The Shuite War was caused by miscommunication and Levi's magic exacerbating small grudges, and so far, almost everything bad that has happened in this series is impacted by the distrust that became normal for both the Dragons and Phoenix to live with.
Rating 4 stars. I loved this new spin-off series to the Eternal Flames series. Once again we get to see Ethan and Day who I really liked from their first book. They mate Rhys who really touched my heart throughout the book. Once again I went through a dislike for Illan Day's father, but felt better about him at the end of the book. The one character I absolutely despised was Dain, Rhys's father. They tried to explain his actions away, but I wasn't buying it. I hated him at the beginning of the book and I hated him at the end. It will interesting to see if he gets his own book and can redeem himself. What I didn't like was that the last Eternal Flames book ended in a bit of a cliff hanger that was briefly address in this one, but left dangling. Also, this one also left you hanging at the end. I do recommend that you read the Eternal Flames series first before starting this book.
